The WoW stuff is a demonstration of how a passtime can be turned into an excuse to solve problems nobody had even considered 1 year ago, and nobody thinks is worth solving now.
World of Warcraft has a modification system that provides an LUA interpreter and a comprehensive API. It’s a trap! But it’s also kind of fun.
First cab off the rank is Follower. A very simple WoW AddOn that helps you keep control two characters at once. Well, not exactly. It tells you when the character who’s supposed to be autofollowing is no longer autofollowing.
Another offering: myphatlewt.sh - a very quick and very dirty bash script that uses the SavedVariables from the BankItems addon to provide a text dump of your WoW characters’ bank contents.
