Mr 6 has been reading my Make magazines and after suggesting a whole bunch of projects which were usually defeated by access to cheap parts. We finally decided that we'd make throwies. Am I encouraging my son to become a cyber-vandal? I have a whole load of big multi-coloured LEDs from the <a href="http://www.hebeiltd.com.cn/" rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">recommended source</a>, and the magnets are (theoretically) on their way. I balked at price and quantity requirements of the cell batteries... but I'm going to give in and order some. Sure, cheap-ass AA batteries are cheap and the magnets are probably strong enough to hold a pair of them to a metal surface, but the effect isn't quite the same. Got it in one.
