Wow, how neat is this ...

I had lost this old iCal export utility but remembered adapting it pretty heavily for some features I needed added, and with a little google magic I found it here! Had no idea others found my update of the tool to be useful beyond what I was doing with it ... nice to know others have found it useful...

BTW, Ryan Waktins has apparently updated it further still... v1.06 as of this post... link here

cheers,
..dane

Here we go. I've put the original outlook2ical that I used here.

I'll reproduce the copyright notice from the header here too (with email addresses redacted), so people can know who owns the copyright on the code:

// Copyright 2005 - Ryan Watkins ([email redacted])
//
// much code converted to javascript from outlook2ical v1.03
// by Norman L. Jones, Provo Utah ([email redacted])
// additional fixes by
// Andrew Johnson ([email redacted])
// Alastair Rankine ([email redacted])
// Dane Walther ([email redacted])

It's not the one I used (from ryanwatkins) but there is what seems to be a more evolved version at:

http://www.mikebaas.org/outlook2ical/

That may not be exactly what you're looking for, so I'll try and dig up the original .vbs version in the next day or so.

Hi Chris, I am trying to get hold of the outlook2ical javascript, but the ryanwatkins site seems to be down, and try as I might, I cannot get hold of it anywhere. Could you mail me a copy or put it on your website please?
Many thanks
Kevin

Done.  Good tip.

My post preamble makes the Lazyweb.org summary a little meaningless. Nevertheless, I await the kindness of strangers.
